We've all become used to controlling our TV from the couch -- why not dim the lights as well? In South Africa, we don't have harsh weather conditions, thus automated heating and cooling is not as popular as home lighting - which is being recognised as an integral part of the overall theme and decor of a home.
#2. Safety
Again lighting plays an integral role, and you'll be surprised how much safer you'll feel coming home to a home that has been lit either automatically or by remote from your car. You can view visitors at your front door on your TV and receive SMS notifications if the system detects an unexpected intrusion.
With the broad selection of products on offer, you can control just about anything you wish in your home. Although, at Code Wired we believe that adding gadgetry for the sake of gadgetry is non-sensible, but having said that, smart wiring can add some surprising features to one's home.
